The Garden
A dozen members of the community - residents, commited and shorter term coworkers and apprentices - tend the walled-garden, the greenhouses, orchards, bush-fruit and field-vegetables.
We strive to work biodynamically - one of the disciplines which grows from the soil of Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy. This is organic but the ratio of magic and muck is slightly higher than with conventional organic gardening.
The food is eaten by the community and supplies the box scheme run by Bergamot and Basil. We would love to make this a more complete CSA! Other food goes to The George in Newnham and to some outlets with whom we have worked for decades.
